Can I join if I rent rather than own?

Absolutely. Because there's no money changing hands between members, using DenZen is closer to having a trusted friend stay over than listing on a short-term rental site. That said, we always recommend checking your lease agreement or asking your landlord if you're unsure.
How do Den Points work?

Simple — one Den Point covers one night. You earn one Den Point for every night you host another member, then use your points to stay at other DenZen homes. A night in the Sydney CBD uses the same number of points as a night in the Blue Mountains. Founding members start with 4 Den Points, so you can book your first stay before you’ve hosted.
How does Watsi work?

Every completed trip sends $5 to Watsi, our official giving partner, helping fund life-changing surgery for patients around the world. You'll receive updates about the specific patients your trips have helped.
Is there a membership fee?

No. DenZen has no membership fee, ever. The only cost to you is a small service fee per stay, which covers platform operations and the concierge support we provide during every swap.
How do you keep availability fresh?

Homes open only for real dates when the host is genuinely away, and hosts reconfirm their open dates regularly — so everything you see is actually bookable. Requests are answered within 24 hours, and if a host doesn't reply in time, your credit is released automatically so you can request another home. No stale calendars, no weeks of back-and-forth.
Do hosts approve every stay?

Yes — it's your home, so you always say who stays. When someone requests your open dates, you see their profile and recommendation record and reply within 24 hours, usually much faster. Requests only reach you if the guest already matches your house rules, so saying yes is quick and comfortable.
How do you ensure trust and safety?

Every member is personally vouched for by an existing member, with identity and home checks before they can host. Hosts always choose who stays, and both members agree on house rules before a trip. If an issue arises, DenZen helps members communicate and work through the agreed resolution process.
How do I get an invite?

The best way is to know someone already on DenZen and ask them to invite you directly. If you don't have a connection yet, you can request an invite and we'll review your application and be in touch within 48 hours.
